ABOUT MK EQUITIES

MK Equities Group LLC and its ownership and management have been in real estate development, investment and management in the Bay Area and nationally for 30 years. Our specialty has been redevelopment and conversion of older properties, some with important historical significance. With offices in San Francisco, our goal remains to generate an average of two new projects per year with a value range of $15-30,000,000 per project.

D. Michael Kelly is the principal and managing member of MK Equities Group LLC.

PROPERTIES OF INTEREST

With an emphasis on the superior product type, MK Equities considers several categories of commercial real estate as potential investment opportunities, including office buildings, mixed-use buildings, urban in-fill residential land, and multi-family residential properties.

MK Equities typically seeks older properties where originality, creative solutions to difficult problems, and extensive experience can be applied to revitalize the economic life of the project. Development sites are carefully selected for strategic location as well as competitive advantage. With a seasoned team of architects and engineers, strong emphasis is given to high quality, budget-mindful designs and solutions that attract end users while enhancing returns to the owners and investors.

GEOGRAPHIC AREA

MK Equities area of interest is generally limited to the West Coast. A substantial number of completed projects are concentrated in the San Francisco Bay Area.

D. MICHAEL KELLY

Over a long career in real estate investment and development, Mr. Kelly has successfully negotiated purchase and sale contracts, financing arrangements, and leases, involving both public and private entities. Mr. Kelly joined Consolidated Capital Companies in 1972 and was responsible for the negotiation, acquisition, development, leasing and management of commercial and multi-family residential properties. When the company was sold in 1985, a year before the 1986 tax act curtailed the growth of the syndication business, Mr. Kelly was in charge of four publicly traded REITs with combined capitalization over one billion dollars. Subsequently Mr. Kelly was principal of MK Consulting Company providing a full range of real estate services to clients in California and Texas. He also served as a principal with Levin Menzies Kelly and Associates, engaged in real estate investment and development. Mr. Kelly holds a Bachelor Degree from San Francisco State University and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
